Words from the Artist:

"Happy Friday!! A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of going on this year's 311 Cruise. It was an Unforgettable experience to say the least. I also had the privilege of doing a live painting on the pool deck as some great band performed. Prior to going on the cruise, I had no idea what I was going to paint, So I decided just to get on board and let the journey guide me, We met so many wonderful people that first night. Inspiring conversations and laughs were had. The unity in this community was so intoxicating! There was such a sense of giving. As the night went on, the music continued to play, I noticed my arm was being covered by bracelets. Everyone one of them different. All positive and music related. It was an amazing first night. The next morning, I sat outside with my best friend and started drawing. Still buzzing from the night before, I began to depict our journey to Cozumel. Us the interstellar passengers upon our vessel, collecting our gifts from one another, taking in a drink, and enjoying the moment. We were to arrive at sunrise, so it was the first part of our story I sketched out. The rest sort of found its way. That happens at times.
With the idea in hand, I now had 6 hours to share this story with the rest of the crew on this boat. I did my best to accomplish this, but there were a few pieces I didn't quite work out in that time frame. How ever, meeting so many of you, sharing the creative process, was so much fun!! Thank you all that stopped by and said hello. 6 hours later, strokes were all laid, the paint dried, and the story was ready for its new home.
As the journey came to an end, I was saddened yet so happy for this incredible adventure. And now, I had the entire experience to inspire me in redrawing the original story that came about that first night. Here is the finished piece from that trip. Hope you all enjoy it, and thank you so much to everyone that took part in this special moment. Thank you!!"
